D.A.D.A. second lesson

Melody walked in and took a seat at her table. She waited for the students to get here.

Drake Malfoy walked in and took a seat

As i walked into class my i had a mini battle with my mind

i noticed Synova haveing a messed up look on her face.
"Whats up?" i asked her

"Welcome class. Today we'll be learning the Impediment Curse. Can someone tell me what is it used for", asked Melody

I had no clue what the professor was saying so turned to Drake whilst biting my lip "Nothin"

i was thinking, i had no idea what it was for so i took a gues,
"does it,ummm...never mind" i said
i mouthed: "i tried" to Synova

"Yeah you did try" i whispered back to him

"The Impediment Curse is very usefull. It stops an object or slows it down. If the spell is powerfull anofe, it could stop a human too. It lasts for about a half a minute. But again, it depents on how powerfull it is", said Melody

Elizabeth and Darnell walked in

Joan walked in the classroom, looking around

I turned around to see who entered to room it was Joan. I looked at her badge it was Gryffindor

Joan noticed a slytherin looking at her as she walked in, but decided to ignore it...for now at least and went sitting at a desk

sensing a bit of tension i turned back round to the professor but after a matter of minutes i fazed out

"Now class, we will practice the Impediment Curse. Everyone take their small ball in on your desk and throu it in the air. Point your wand and say 'Impediment'. With anofe practice, it will stop in the air eventualy", said Melody

At that moment a small ball blue apered in front of every student.

Joan startled a sec from the ball and began to practise... after a couple of minutes it began to slow down and finnaly stop,Joan was proud when it did.

"Well done Joan. 10 points to Gryffindor. Come one, eveyone try it.", said Melody cheerfull

proud as a peacock Joan smiled at the teacher and looked to the other students, to see how far they'd gotten

i sucked my teeth and threw my bag into the air and said Inpendiment but nothin happened

i saw the slytherin who had watched me when i came, th spell didn't worked and my distrust vanished a bit

"Oh for crying out loud" I grunted. I turned round to see the same Gryffindor girl and hated my self but she did seem to know what she was doing so i asked here
"Um can you help me plz"

distrust totally gone Joan decided in her haed and nodded with a smile: "ofcourse, you just need to swing it a lit less strong and aim a little better, like this." she added an encouragging smile.

"Thanks" i said smiling. I tried the spell again and did what she had suggested and was amazed to see that it worked
My hatred for her being a Gryffindor flew out the window
"My name is Synova" i said extending my hand to her

The class door banged open, I fell inside, I had scratches and bruises all over my body, I winced and stood up and went to the door to see if the person who did this to me was there but all I saw was the tail of a cloak turning the corner. I sighed and turned around and saw the class and professor looking at me I saw drake there too. "Hi proffessor, srry I'm late, had a little run in with someone," I walked in and took a seat at the back, I winced again, I flashed a small quick smile at Drake

"you're very welcome" i smiled "i'm Joan..." i stopped and looked around, startled to see a students coming in, confused? afraid? the entire class was looking now...
